Bags under eyes are one of the beauty enemies and those who have them know how hard they can be hidden by makeup. Their causes are related to kidney function, some respiratory problems, lifestyle (caffeine, stress), but also genetics. Sometimes, even if you sleep more, puffy eyes and dark circles don’t disappear. Here are some natural remedies that diminish puffy eyes:
Apply cold compresses on the eyes
Put a wet towel in the refrigerator overnight and in the morning when you wake up, lay in bed with this towel placed on your forehead for 5 minutes. This will reduce inflammation.
Use infusion tea bags
After preparing the tea, don’t throw away the bags, just put them in the refrigerator and lie 20 minutes with cold tea bags over your eyes. Rinse with water. This technique reduces inflammation and brown circles around the eyes. The best are green tea, black tea and chamomile tea.
Apply cucumber slices over each eye and wait 10 minutes. You’ll have a smooth and well moisturized skin around the eyes. You can apply them after the cold tea bags.
Take a fresh aloe leaf and break it in two. Massage your delicate eye area with aloe gel.
Coconut and almond oil
You need 1 tablespoon of coconut oil and 1 tablespoon of almond oil. Mix them and rub the under the eyes area. Let it act for 20 minutes then wash your eyes with warm water.
Eat foods rich in vitamins A, C and E
Foods rich in these vitamins are fruits, vegetables, herbs, nuts and seeds of any kind. Vitamins A, C, E are found mainly in yellow and orange fruits & vegetables (apricots, melons, lemons, oranges, almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, etc.). These foods prevent water retention, one of the main causes of puffy eyes.
Use salt as poultice
Dissolve half a teaspoon of salt in a cup of warm water, then moist two cleansing pads in this solution. Apply them over the eyes for at least 10 minutes. Your eyes will soon deflate.
Treat yourself with milk
Wet 2 cleansing pads in cold milk and keep them on the eyes for a few minutes. You’ll get rid of bags under eyes.
Put 4 spoons in the refrigerator for a few minutes. Take two of them and place them gently on the bags under eyes. When they become warm, change them with the other 2 spoons from the refrigerator; repeat for several minutes.
Beat an egg white until it becomes hard then apply it under the eye area. The skin will become firmer.
Use grated potato
Grate a peeled potato then wrap the resulting pulp in a clean cloth; make 2 bags and place them on your eyes for 15 minutes.
